Your new organisation is a worldwide success. In our region they service companies throughout Australia & New Zealand with a range of specialty food and industrial ingredients. These ingredients are sold to food manufacturers covering areas such as bakery, dairy, meat ingredients & small goods as well as other applications.
Your primary purpose will be to grow a number of designated existing and new customers in the manufacturing industry.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- The sales, service and new business development of the food portfolio to a set of designated existing and new customers
- Identifying key business opportunities and developing action plans for increasing sales.
- Being the Sales interface to existing and new customers, which includes;
- understanding and acting on customer demands in a timely manner,
- providing the relevant support for all product lines, including managing the supply of various samples provided to customers
- Coordinating activities and discussions between customers' R&D, purchasing, marketing, other teams and internal specialists.
- Overseeing the ordering, transportation and delivery of products as required and managed by the company's customer service and logistics team.
- Developing forecasts for the various product lines.
- Updating the customer pipeline of opportunities, projects and customer data as appropriate in the salesforce database
- Updating detailed account plans for each key account assigned as required.
- Preparing sales and expenditure budget reports.
To be successful in this role you will require a university degree qualification in Science, Food Science, Nutrition or Technology related discipline and significant industry experience. Ideally your experience will have been gained over the past 10 to 15 years in the industry.
You will possess experience in the food, ingredients industry.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are a must, coupled with strong motivation and a positive, can do attitude
