Head of Client Solutions

We are a leading New Zealand owned group operating in the vehicle finance and maintenance sector, with our head office in Newmarket, Auckland.  We are proud of our strong reputation for customer service excellence, our dynamic and innovative approach, and our great people. We are growing our sales and service offering and are looking for an experienced BD professional to lead this expansion.

This is a real hands-on role and you need to be as comfortable getting stuck in as part of the Team as you are sitting at the executive table or presenting to The Board. You will be responsible for building the systems and processes to grow our sales portfolio and will need to build a capable and high functioning sales team to achieve this growth.

About the role

This is a perfect role for a hunter business development manager with strong commercial acumen who can lead, implement and grow our sales strategy.  Putting systems in place to build our capability is pivotal to the role, as is developing and leading a successful sales team. This role reports directly to the CEO who is an ideas person, always looking for innovative ways to improve the business, and who works collaboratively with a solid, skilled and supportive executive team. As head of BD your contribution will be crucial to the ongoing success of the business.

About You

You will be an experienced sales person, ideally well-networked in the motor vehicle/dealer space. You may be working in a dealership and be looking for the next step up or an independent broker. However; this is not essential and we will consider successful sales professionals from other industries who are looking to find a home in a growing and ethical  organisation which offers stability, career prospects and attractive earning potential.

Whatever your background, you will have proven experience in identifying valuable prospects, developing strong relationships, influencing outcomes and closing the sale. A natural communicator and relationship manager, you will understand the broader business benefits in collaborating with others.  Self-driven and motivated, you understand what needs to be done to achieve objectives and are confident leading yourself and your team to meet these. You will be a self-starter; you own your role and you make things happen. You will leverage your networks and build new relationships with customers and dealers alike and your understanding of the sale process, whether face to face or online, will ensure your success in the role.

You must be comfortable working in a professional but informal open plan environment with a fun and inclusive, multicultural team. We are not a corporate, (nor do we want to be) and we cherish our environment where everyone is valued and supported.
