Lusty & Blundell Ltd, New Zealand’s largest supplier of marine equipment & systems and a leading player in New Zealand’s world famous marine industry, is offering a rare opportunity for a new sales person to join our friendly frontline crew in Tauranga.
Your job will be to support and advise a wide variety of boatbuilders, tradespeople, professional skippers and boat owners in our popular Tauranga branch showroom while also supporting our busy on-the-road sales team. You will also ensure the branch is professionally presented and maintained at all times and customers visiting or contacting receive friendly, efficient and timely service.
The ideal applicant will be a quick learner with previous experience in dealing with the public in a service, retail or sales role. They will also have great attention to detail and an ability to work unsupervised. Although experience and a knowledge of boating and fishing is not essential, it is helpful, as is an aptitude for things technical and a passion and desire to work alongside other people as an integral part of a very customer-focused sales and support team.
The successful applicant will gain an in-depth knowledge of the very latest marine electronics, fluid-handling and electrical products and systems with the opportunity to expand their career path into professional sales, technical assistance or marketing.
The position will suit someone currently living in or near Tauranga or the Western Bay of Plenty, or someone planning to relocate to the area.
You will need to have:

- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Retentive memory and the ability to learn quickly
- Good work ethic and a commitment to being part of a team
- Knowledge of boating & fishing helpful but not essential
- Computer skills
