Shell Lubricants

Tyreline is a NZ operated tyre and lubricants importer / wholesaler, for a number of world leading brands including Michelin and Shell. We currently have an opportunity for an outstanding Account Manager with proven experience to join the expanding Shell Lubricants sales team.

This role will be based in Christchurch or Nelson ideally but will cover the South Island and Wellington regions; therefore, applicants will be considered from all South Island locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales to produce continued business development of the world's leading Automotive lubricants brand, particularly within the automotive, marine and industrial field.

The right candidate will be an experienced salesperson with a proven ability to leverage existing client relationships and maintain strong account management.  You will have an interest or passion for the lubricants industry, be target driven and customer focused, display outstanding communication skills and be happy to travel.  

This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Driving brand awareness
  • Increasing sales across the various market sectors
  • Managing distributor relationships
  • Identifying opportunities to increase market share
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Successful completion of tenders and proposals
  • Driving product categories, focussing on growing the business
  • Leveraging relationships with current and potential customers
  • Formulation of territory sales reports
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets

To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:

  • 5 years' experience selling automotive related products; ideally lubricants
  • Sales motivated with strong endurance
  • An understanding of the automotive, commercial and industrial markets
