The role

This is a rare opportunity for a business development expert to lead an established team with a great success record. You will influence further growth and development of the client base, and help shape the future of consulting in Wellington.

As the Regional Business Development Lead you will inspire and drive business success while ensuring Consultants are supported and empowered to deliver outstanding solutions to our clients. You will also be a key member of the Sysdoc Senior Leadership team helping to create an environment for success for our people and our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain substantial, influential and trusted relationships.
  • Lead, develop and grow the Wellington business development team.
  • Be a key member of the Sysdoc Senior Leadership team.
  • Lead networking and prospecting in the chosen markets.
  • Be a senior ambassador for Sysdoc, representing the brand and the core proposition.
  • Deliver a qualified pipeline of business.
  • Assist with major commercial negotiations.
  • Foster a positive working environment where sharing and collaboration are our standard way of working.

Competencies & Experience

  • 8 years+ experience in a business development role.
  • Experience in leading teams effectively focusing on delivery.
  • Experience in the consulting industry, ideally working with public and private sector organisations.
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivery against sales targets.
  • Results oriented, passionately excited at the prospect of growing commercially viable business in an agile environment.
  • Developing and maintaining senior-level client relationships.
  • Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels within an organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
