Client Details

An established New Zealand company with a growing global presence across the US, Asia and UK with expertise across multiple building materials supplying to key brands and end users in the building market.

Description

You will lead a team of four sales representatives while also working closely with the National Sales Manager on budgets, market mapping and general sales activities. Provide mentoring and guidance to the sales team who will look to you as a leader to help develop their careers within the business as well as growing the Lower North Island and South Island regions. Work with the team to prospect and qualify leads that will eventuate in the generation of new business relationships through your product knowledge, recommendations and on-site presentations. Work closely with key stakeholders and create new relationships across the building market. Develop relationships and upsell solutions that result in recurring business.

Profile

Previous sales management and business development experience in the building materials sector is highly desirable although someone who has had a successful career in business development and/or territory management who has trained and mentored other team members would certainly be considered. You will have the ability to prepare and execute well written proposals and client presentations and be a self-starter who has had success in growing market share and can think outside of the box in order to establish relationships with decision makers. Excellent communication skills are required and being able to relate to stakeholders at all levels of business making you a team player who can buy into the company’s vision and strategy while developing their team.
