Regional Field Sales Manager – Wellington

The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and results driven FMCG Regional Field Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of five Territory Managers in the Wellington/ Palmerston North, Lower North Island area. You will support the development and implementation of store based Joint Business Plans which seek to execute the customer strategy and drive Unilever growth within the store.

 

We are looking for someone who can continue to drive growth, identify further opportunities and build on the strong business partnerships already in place.  Our Territory Managers sell across all of Unilever’s categories and household brands and to multiple grocery customers.

 

You need to be comfortable with large volumes of data and building strategic business plans. This role is a hands-on, leadership role which is also relatively autonomous.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You are the key liaison between the head office based, Customer teams and the field -  to cascading strategic messages and driving priorities and execution
  • Supporting and developing the TM’s assisting with problem solving and customer issues
  • Through your TM’s drive distribution and speed to market of new products
  • Be up to date on knowledge of new products, competitor products and market information

You are:

You will already be an experienced Regional Manager with strong team management & leadership skills. You will have walked their shoes before and be able to motivate and guide from having a solid skill set and previous, proven experience.

 

You have experience selling into grocery customers in New Zealand and have a network and developed relationships within the industry. You will need to be comfortable with high expectations, accountability, collaboration, and possess these key skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Developing strong customer relationships
  • Customer Management and selling essentials
  • Strong planning and implementation skills
