THE ROLE

This role will be Ashburton based with travel Canterbury wide. The Card Services Representative is focused on the day to day management of our loyal Canterbury supplier base while hunting for new leads, this will involve a considerable amount of cold calling and business development. Our team work with our suppliers to drive supplier marketing and sales initiatives, maximising the overall business offer to Ruralco Cardholders and continuing to develop the growth and retention of existing Card Suppliers. 

 

THE SUCESSFUL APPLICANT

Previous account management and sales experience is essential as will be your ability to self-manage and build strong relationships with businesses. The successful applicant will be a confident lead generator with a proven commercial track record in a business to business environment.

Skills required to be successful in this position include:

  • Previous account management experience
  • Ability to negotiate “win win” outcomes with current and new suppliers
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel and CRM Dynamics
  • The ability to generate leads, cold call and manage your own call cycles is essential.
