An opportunity exists for an experienced Business Development Manager with leadership aspirations to join ASG. The role encompasses an exciting growth phase of ASG, where there is a strategic focus on growing our member base through both B2B and B2C channels together with growing and coaching our local team based in Auckland.

You will lead, manage and mentor a team whilst also identifying and developing partnership opportunities with schools, corporate and other organisations. This role is all about building relationships with a focus on discussing benefits for a child’s educational future.

THE ROLE:

  • Lead, coach and inspire a sales team of direct reports
  • Actively pursue new partnerships with schools, corporates and other organisations
  • Help families plan for their children's education costs
  • Provide input to and take responsibility for implementation of relevant strategic initiatives
  • Nurture and develop referrals
  • Be responsible for ensuring we maintain, develop and leverage existing partnerships

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in motivating and inspiring a sales team
  • Track record in B2C/B2B sales developing partnerships (schools/corporates etc.)
  • Proven influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to lead presentations and lead by example
  • A well-developed school or B2B network is preferred
  • Financial acumen as to market/industry knowledge within the finance sector
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Proven customer/member focussed skills to uplift customer satisfaction/customer advocacy
  • The role requires you to have access to your own transport
  • RG146 qualification and financial, education or insurance background is highly regarded
