We are on the lookout for an experienced Business Development Manager for our Auckland branch. What the role entails
As a Business Development Manager the main purpose of your role will be to sell and promote Mainstream's core services in freight solutions. You will be generating new leads, producing proposals and presenting professional presentations to future clients.
You will need to be a good listener and able to think outside the square to develop tailored solutions to meet client's requirements.
You will be required to use Mainstream's internally developed IT system on a daily basis to keep track of your sales activities and customer database.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will need to have a proven and successful track record in a medium-large business preferably with knowledge of the NZ freight industry.
- You will need to be outgoing, organised and well presented for this position. Strong commercial awareness is important and you will need to have exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, strong numeracy skills and computer literacy in MS Word and Excel are essential as well as having the ability to learn new systems.
