Our client is a manufacturer with sites across New Zealand and Australia and they are currently looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to help ensure the compliance and wellbeing of staff at their manufacturing site in Penrose, Auckland. This position will involve working closely with the H&S Manager, as well as Operations staff and Regional (ANZ) Managers. This newly created position is both an exciting and challenging role, as it will give someone the opportunity to develop a strong safety and well-being culture for staff. You will have a large focus on the execution of day to day safety management systems and will be focussed on ensuring plant compliance with direction from the H&S Manager. This role will have no direct reports, but is very much collaborative, so you will need to use your excellent communication and influencing skills.

To be suitable for this position you will need to possess the following attributes/experience:

• Formal HS&E qualification ideal but not essential
• Health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Staff training skills
• Strong with document writing and compliance
• Problem solver, teamwork and great attitude!
