Our client is a vibrant, commercial business who is looking for a People Advisor to join their collaborative team in this sole charge role. They have strong culture and values, and are looking for the right person to come on board and continue to deliver pragmatic and people-focussed HR services to the business. There is flexibility in hours on offer, with the potential to work either full time hours, or reduced hours of approx. 30 hours/week. 

Reporting to the GM, you'll be involved in supporting managers through all aspects of the employee life cycle, including training, recruitment, development reviews and resolving people issues. Based from the city fringe offices, you'll frequently get out across various sites around Auckland, communicating and building relationships at all levels of the business and providing jargon-free advice. This is a role where you can't be too precious to roll up your sleeves and get involved in what needs to be done. You'll have colleagues looking after payroll and health & safety, but will work closely with them as required. 

You'll bring your proven HR generalist advisory experience, including a strong working knowledge of relevant NZ legislation and experience working through people issues from end to end. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail will enable you to deliver to the high standard required in this role. Your resilience, together with your proactive approach, will help you to quickly build relationships and deliver great service. A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
