About the role
The main focus of this position is to lead all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental on site. Being part of the leadership team you will report directly to Global headquarters along with the Site Manager. The role is diverse, every day will be different. The work environment is complex so a good understanding of process safety and Major Hazard Facilities will give you an advantage.
Duties
- Manage operational Health, Safety and Environmental
- Provide leadership team insights and HS&E performance measures
- Foster a proactive interdependent culture
- Develop workers HS&E competency
- Lead HS&E initiatives and improvement strategy
Skills & experience
- A tertiary level qualification in engineering, chemistry, or occupational health sciences or an equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Health & Safety
- Sound experience of health, safety and environmental legislation, principally around MHF and hazardous substances
- Exceptional communicator skills
