People & Culture Business Partner

Location - Wellington

The Role

Reporting to the Head of People, this individual will partner with the business to provide support and consultation primarily to their market/entity key leadership team. The People Business Partner is responsible for designing and driving People projects, programs, and strategies; it is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle People support to markets and entities. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving People functional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing thought leadership and coaching to leadership teams
  • Building strong and effective relationships with business leaders
  • Development and implementation of commercially focused people solutions and initiatives
  • Actively contribute to the people agenda, key topics (future of work, workforce and workplace design)
  • Apply understanding of business goals and recommend people programs
  • Collaborate with Centre’s of Expertise on design and implementation of programs and processes
  • Drive effective learning and development, employee relations, and retention programs
  • Support leaders to ensure high calibre talent is in place to meet business requirements
  • Partner with leaders to execute org. design changes in line with change management methodology.
  • Generate insights to aid in reduction of risk, enhance efficiency and organisational performance
  • Plan and implement change management activities - project planning, activity, training, communications, evaluation, and post implementation activities
  • Coach and develop People Advisors and Administrators to build capability and succession plans

Basic Qualifications

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years People business partner experience
  • Significant experience in most or all of the core aspects of People (HR) Management: employee relations; performance management; leadership development; employee engagement.
  • Resume that shows steady progression in HR Management
