Are you an experienced Occupational Health & Safety expert looking for your next venture? Our client is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to lead the implementation of various internal projects.
Company
Our client is a national charitable trust working to improve the lives of New Zealand youth impacted with mental, emotional and behavioural issues. With over 250 staff and caregivers supporting young people and their families and whanau across the North and lower South Islands. A huge part of their mission is to support local young people to find the best options for education, training or employment.
The Role
Due to the recent creation of new health and safety initiatives, our client is on the hunt for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to lead their projects.
As a Health and Safety Specialist you will be required to:
- Implement new initiatives and strategies according to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Write up policies and procedures according to health and safety changes
- Conduct training on all health and safety related topics
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Specialist
- Sound understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Previous experience in Project Management is desired but not mandatory
- Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
