We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Global HRIS & Analytics Leader. As a globally connected firm, we welcome applications from candidates located in major centres across New Zealand, Australia and North America.

About the role

As the successful candidate, you will lead the development and delivery of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Human Capital Analytics across GHD globally. You will be responsible for both existing and new applications from a functional user perspective including business requirements analysis through to configuration, user testing, training, and implementation.

You will lead a functional and technical team to transform the HR Systems across the company including development of the strategy, prioritized roadmap, and approach to suit the needs of all regions globally. You will also lead Human Capital Analytics including reporting as well as the transformation to analytics for data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct business process re-engineering to gain efficiencies with systems alignment to ensure HR functional optimization
  • Provide functional expertise in defining business needs for effective HRIS
  • Collaborate with all regions in a global organization
  • Lead on the assessment of options, budget, and technology direction
  • Liaise with vendors, business, technology, and HR personnel to bring the best solutions forward
  • Develop a governance strategy for HR systems enhancements and maintenance, as well as new projects
  • Oversee and provide thought leadership on metrics dashboards, scorecards, models, and predictive analytics
  • Effectively lead and manage staff by clearly communicating employee expectations, holding employees accountable and rewarding/recognizing goal achievement as appropriate
  • Provide coaching and development for employees related to their career development and opportunities
  • Present key findings and results from projects and discussions with employees/managers as appropriate – to people leaders, business partners, technology personnel, and executives
  • Other duties, projects and roles as assigned.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a human resources professional, and at least 5 years’ experience leading an HRIS team. A masters-level qualification and professional accreditation will also be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in a global functional HR Technology role; proven leadership with HR Systems, analytics, and business process redesign including the utilization of shared services. This includes knowledge of the HR disciplines as well as associated technology to support them.
  • Excellent project management, analytics, and consulting skills; the ability to interpret data and tell a story.
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with integrity, a lead-by-example style that promotes a positive, team-based environment.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills to be able to articulate technical requirements in a non-technical manner and vice-versa. Experience as a liaison between the business and technical communities. Strong presentation skills and comfort level with presenting to groups at all levels.
  • Flexibility in hours and scheduled as a global role across a variety of time zones
