Nirvana Health Group (NHG) is the largest network of outpatient facilities in New Zealand with 43 primary care and urgent care clinics. Working as part of a small HR team, the HR Coordinator will facilitate daily HR functions and undertake end-to-end recruitment processes. He/ She should have strong administrative and inter-personal skills, and be able to complete a wide variety of tasks. The HR Coordinator supports and guides line managers with regards to HR-related matters, and ensures that administrative and legal requirements are met in terms of HR issues, compliance and record-keeping. The HR Coordinator maintains open communication lines with staff from all levels of the organisation. This role involves providing generalist HR administrative coordination, support, and advice to line managers and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Carries out end to end recruitment and new staff processes per HR policy in a timely manner, including advertising of available roles, interviews, reference checks, candidate assessment, pre-employment credentialing of medical/clinical staff, safety checks, on-boarding, 90-day trial period monitoring, etc.
- Prepares and negotiates employment offers and agreements, providing information on conditions of employment (i.e. wages, salary, working hours, location, etc.) as well as changes in employment details, and ensuring these are accurate and produced in a timely manner
- Coordinates training and development (e.g. On-boarding, MedTech, CALD, Privacy, The HDC, etc.), appraisals, employment relations matters, and ensuring that these are completed as scheduled and properly documented
- Collaborates with line managers to identify current available roles, prepare job descriptions, development plans, etc., and complete required forms, e.g. questionnaires, surveys, etc. from external agencies
- Complies with all health and safety procedures to ensure their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace and to actively participate in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Prepares HR reports on compliance and recruitment; and provides an analysis of HR information as needed
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Essential:
- Tertiary degree in Human Resources
- At least 1 year New Zealand experience in a similar role in a healthcare organisation
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
- Experience in end-to-end recruitment processes
- Good knowledge and understanding of New Zealand employment and labor laws
- Good organisational and time management skills, analytical ability
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Full New Zealand drivers licence and car; and be willing to travel to our clinics as required
Desirable:
- Experience in Cornerstone accreditation and Urgent Care audits
- Experience in pre-employment credentialing process of medical/ clinical staff
- Experience with Oracle-based HRIS systems
