About the Role
Develop & implement supplier related strategies across the Vector Group & maximise value for money outcomes which consider value, quality, sustainability, innovation and effectively mitigate supply risks. You’ll apply a strong digital focus to drive the digital enablement of Vector through the selection and management of strategically appointed fit-for-purpose suppliers in accordance with the digital sourcing strategy.
Identify innovative market opportunities to meet future business needs to optimise expenditure across the Capex and Opex budgets. You’ll be responsible for the adoption of efficient processes, systems and digital procurement technologies required to deliver right-sized procurement activities and manage the supplier relationship lifecycle.
Management of internal relationships and external strategic supplier relationships are critical to success in this role, ensuring reporting in to Supplier Governance Boards by supply category and building Vector’s reputation as a customer of choice for supply relationships. Provide leadership to Senior Executives, peers and colleagues to embed sound procurement habits and compliance to procurement policies and good practice.
Who are we looking for
Bring with you your solid experience in a procurement leadership role encompassing exposure to operating within an SAP environment. You’ll have Project Management experience and demonstrated experience of running tender processes and contract negotiation for significant supply relationships ($25 m + p.a. range).
You’ll have the ability to deliver business benefits through the tender and negotiation process with strong problem-solving capability and significant communication skills. You’ll be influencing people from a broad range of levels across business with diverse backgrounds. ICT experience would be an advantage.
You’ll be providing the leadership in the development of goals and KPI’s for the management of key and strategic suppliers, so you’ll bring a sound understanding of the risk management process. Ideally, you’ll have experience with raw materials, engineering spares, utilities and consumables and will have a solid track record in managing the commercial or contractual aspects of supply relations either from the sourcing or sales side – either way – we would welcome your application.
