We are looking for someone who is available on immediate basis for 6 weeks only for the role of a Health & Safety Support for achieving strategic business goals. Reporting to the People and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the company has its policies, frameworks, programs and activities in place that ultimately ensures the safety of its people.

Summary of key responsibilities:
• Ensuring/supporting accurate reporting and recording of all incidents and accidents.
• Implementing the HSE Management Plans by setting and maintaining high standards and ensuring direct reports understand and deliver to their HSE accountabilities
• Compliance with all Company SH&E policies and procedures ensuring all staff and contractors are appropriately trained and inducted into the Project SH&E standards and comply with Project SH&E procedures
• Ensure all incident/events in Incident Management System, Client Incident Management System and required spreadsheets/databases are submitted accurately and consistently
• Review reports produced from systems for accuracy. Close out all actions and incidents within the stipulated time frame
• Provide incident/injury management advice to the operational business
• Ensure all relevant parties are notified of incident/events for the business (VPL, Client, 3rd party stakeholders) as per the company's Incident Classification and NZ Reporting Guidelines
• Ensure accurate incident/event information and evidence is obtained for investigation reporting
• Undertake incident/event investigations and ensure they are consistent, factual and effective
• Monitor and ensure that significant incidents are reported and fully investigated with corrective actions implemented

We are looking for someone with:
• A natural ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail skills
• Sound knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act and WorkSafe
- Desktop review of safety inspections/leads submitted by Field Managers
- Desktop review of safety incidents within the company's incident management system
- Assist SHEQ Advisors to obtain incident evidence and supporting background information
- Assist internal quality accreditation audits
• H&S knowledge and some experience is essential
• The ability to hit the ground running and make this role their own.
