The design team on New Zealand’s much-loved home and interior magazine Your Home and Garden has a rare opening for a talented, driven and experienced art director.
You will need a graphic design qualification, a portfolio that demonstrates your design abilities and ideally a passion for homes, DIY and interiors.
Key responsibilities will include collaboration with the editor on overall style and design, briefing photographers and stylists and ensuring the brand design and style ethos is consistently reflected across all brand collateral.
You must be experienced and confident in designing innovative and stylish page layouts, with an extensive knowledge of Adobe CS5, especially InDesign. You will be comfortable to take the lead and work independently on design projects as well as work collaboratively with our editorial, advertising and marketing teams.
While predominately a design role, the successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the 360° nature of the Your Home and Garden brand and be excited to work across all our platforms – print, digital, social, and custom publishing.
You will be working as part of a friendly, dynamic and hard-working team which is part of Bauer Media, New Zealand’s premier magazine publisher and media company, based in Auckland’s City Works Depot precinct.
