Company background:

Our client is trying to disrupt their industry and truly create an agency of the future. they are a global media powerhouse who are looking to supercharge their data and technology division and integrate it into the agency structure.

Moving to expand from its measurements and attribution roots, they are looking for a Data Strategist to drive the proliferation and execution of strategic data initiatives across clients and teams. This person will be responsible for seeking new, innovative and creative ways to derive value form applied data science technology and analytics. 

 
Organisational Structure:

You would report to the Head of Data Science.
 
Major Goals of the Role (SMART):

• Provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in designing and recommending appropriate data, analytical and technological solutions to clients
• Involvement in research, development and implementation of appropriate data strategies that lead to improved business performance and achievement of overall business goals for clients
• Promoting data-driven decision making and consumer-driven analytics across all agency clients
• Work closely with other internal departments in an effort to ensure that a data-driven framework is at the forefront of their approach and client recommendations

Key Result Areas:

• Moving data & analytics to the centre of our client's offering, powering the agency with data in everything it does and impacting the tools and systems that exist
• Growth of the data and technology consultancy side of the business
• Cultivating relationships with key data and technology providers to ensure we stay ahead of the curve vs our competition
• Collaborating with other analysts (Audiences & Insights/Platforms) for the purpose of product enhancement and to ensure that data is at the forefront of everything we do
• Building the profile of data & analytics and actively participating in data conferences and workshops
• Delivery of actionable data insights that can impact business growth for our clients.
• Passion for the data discipline being able to influence both internal and external audiences to understand the importance of data.
• Extremely meticulous in approach to work so ‘that’s good enough’ is never good enough.

What do the best do?

This role is for a visionary Data Strategist with a deep understanding how data is applied commercially. The best will have a balance of a pedigreed delivery-focused ability combined with strategic outlook.

Required Capabilities:

• ~5+ years working in a data analytics, technology, or media/communications related area
• Experience working in market/business intelligence, strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional business experience as well as experience working with large data-sets and technology platforms.
• Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, which will be necessary in the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations, for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ideally, skilled at a high level in key platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe etc.
