The Role
Variety is what you will find in this role, with new challenges from week to week. You'll enjoy working on everything from user support, to requirements gathering and business analysis, to writing or tweaking software, to integrating ERP and GIS systems, plus much, much more.

Day to day, your involvement might include some of the following:

• Developing and administering distributed Information Systems
• Systems integration - getting data from one software package to another
• Application and web development - apps that integrate systems, streamline processes, or to prototype functionality
• Database work - administering, designing, developing and fixing (includes GIS)
• Data analysis / BI work - analysing inquiries about assets and work information and translating them into usable data 
• Use of Python, Delphi, Java, C#, Javascript, SQL and other technologies.

Requirements
At least 5 years of commercial experience working in software development or similar areas, and most likely a tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or its equivalent.

You must be able to communicate clearly and relate to people across the organisation, and as they say, it is all about attitude and aptitude so if you are an enthusiastic and energetic IT professional, then you will find career satisfaction in this role.
