Nyriad Ltd is looking for an experienced R&D Product Manager to join our team! 

If you are interested in working at a high-growth, deep technology company with growth ambitions rarely seen outside of Silicon Valley, this is the place for you. As a product manager of Research & Development at Nyriad, you will work within an Agile-team of like-minded engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Requirement Analysis - working with internal (system architects) and external customers to deliver R&D programs. This must be done in accordance with Nyriad's development procedures, and in the most efficient and profitable manner possible
• Customer Contact - serving as the primary contact with the Customer, and acting as their internal voice 
• Schedule Management - establishing milestones and controlling adherence to development plans and schedules 
• Financial Management - understanding the financial parameters for the upcoming fiscal period, and ensuring that costs are effectively managed by delivering within the Performance Measurement Baseline
• Risk Management - identifying risks & opportunities, and then developing and managing appropriate risk mitigation
• Quality Management - consistently delivering R&D programs that meet Fit for Purpose QA requirements, as well as Nyriad's quality policies, procedures, and standards
• New Business Development - supporting the development of new business proposals as needed. This will include reviewing & approving technical approaches/feasibility/cost estimates, as well as participating in marketing new technology

Nyriad is a fast-growing software technology company based in Cambridge, NZ. We are the first commercial spin-out of the Square Kilometre Array, the world’s largest radio telescope and the next mega-science project. Nyriad develops storage-processing technology to enable data processing and storage on volumes of data beyond the scale of today’s internet, and is now partnering with technology giants like Nvidia and Microsemi to commercialize it. Nyriad is looking for applicants with:

• A university degree, or equivalent in engineering or a related technical discipline

• 8-10+ years of related technical or software engineering experience

• 4+ years of project engineering/management, programme management or other supervisory responsibility

• The proven ability to lead Research & Development/Innovation sprint teams

• The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, make presentations, and conduct negotiations with customers

• The ability to undertake domestic and international travel for periods of weeks
• Experience in Agile Scrum tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, GSuite) and Product Management tools (e.g. Aha!)

We award extra points for candidates with:

• An Advanced Engineering degree, MBA, and/or a Program Management Professional certification
• Knowledge of Storage Systems, Linux, and/or Cloud Development
