Are you ready to be taken on a journey?? We are looking for an applications support specialist to join our technology team and go on a journey with this truly innovative and customer focused business for a 6 month contract.

This is a role where a clear understanding of IT delivery process is required together with an appreciation of current and evolving technology and trends, tools and techniques that are or could be deployed to meet the needs of the business

What key requirements and knowledge do we desire from you?

• Level 2/3 Support for owned Technology platforms
• Proactively manage all 24/7 critical scheduled batch jobs and ensure they complete within required SLAs and ensure remediation as required
• 24/7 Support of systems including participation in an On-Call Roster.
• Monitor and action on all workflow systems for all work assigned to the team
• Undertake environment refreshes as required across Pre Production and Production
• Configure and enable all in scope IT platforms for monitoring and ensure  alerting is sufficient and meets the requirements of the platform
• Enabling automation via scripting to enhance processes
• Check fault management details are correct for each call assigned, including Priority and asset affected,
• Ensure customer is contacted to confirm details of fault and ensure Status is updated when customer is contacted within 'Response' service level.

Key Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years experience working with SQL
• Scripting for Automation eg. Powershell
• Experience with network monitoring platforms Solarwinds or similar
• Optim configuration and management
• AWS/Azure or other Cloud Provider knowledge
• ITIL qualifications or experience in an ITIL based role preferable
