Brand new opportunity to drive quality assurance and testing strategies and capabilities, on a large digital transformation project in the government sector.
You will be contributing to improving services used nationwide, therefore highly visible and extremely important for the growth of New Zealand.
What will you do?
Join an in-house information services team with testing currently outsourced and take ownership of the quality and testing approach needed for the digital transformation. This will include overseeing a team of testers (a mix of outsourced and potentially in-house) and working closely with the customer experience and development teams to drive quality from a UI / digital perspective.

Lead a team of test analysts

Work with the business and development teams to understand product requirements and testing needs

Develop test strategies and create test harnesses

Drive test methodology and tools to support agile development lifecycle's

Contribute to the IS leadership team
What will you have?
-
Solid experience as a people manager leading teams
-
Experience owning end to end software quality, including design and implementation of test frameworks, automated test creation and execution

Experience implementing continuous integration models, working with Cloud Solutions (AWS/Azure), DevOps and information security.

Expertise with full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, test reviews, security testing, source control management, build processes, testing and operations

In-depth knowledge of both UI and backend service test automation

Able to work in a fast paced environment, juggle multiple releases with multiple dependencies whilst maintaining the highest quality standards

Knowledge and experience in automation tools and frameworks

Ideally experience working with both Agile and Waterfall
