The Company
Our client a well-known, household name who is leading their sector in both market presence and technological advancement. They are a fast growing, Agile business who have an ambitious and exciting roadmap laid out for the next 10 years.
The Role
You will be leading the Applications Support and Development team who are responsible for supporting and enhancing an array of applications to one of the organisations most critical business units. You will be responsible for the overall service delivery of the IT applications in line with our clients operating processes and procedures. There is also a hands-on component with this position, so you will be comfortable working with an array of applications yourself.
You will be required to:
- Participate in the operational support of core applications by ensuring tasks are executed in a timely manner, in line with the ITIL framework and documented accordingly
- Contribute and lead the development of business cases
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, external and internal stakeholders
- Manage licensing agreement
- Understand and manage costs directly associated to your team
- Lead the personal development of the Applications team, ensuring quality results by effectively allocating and mobilising staff
- Lead team 1 on 1’s
Key Requirements
You will be a team player, a passionate leader and highly inquisitive. Our client strives to constantly push the boundary, innovate, and lead their market worldwide. You will have a minimum of six years’ experience working extensively with an array of business applications in a complex environment, with at least two of those years leading a team.
Additionally, you will ideally possess:
- An ITIL certification
- Experience managing a team of 5-10 staff, including rostering, effectively managing and conducting 1-on-1’s
- Technical knowledge of an array of business applications (Oracle, and Salesforce are preferred, but not necessary)
- Experience delivering application services to a complex, multi-layered corporate environment
- Superb business acumen and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to think “outside the box” when it comes to solving technical issues
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
