The Opportunity: 
4impact has built a strong pipeline of clients in the Australian and New Zealand market. We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our service delivery team based here in Wellington.  We have immediate requirements, as well as multiple projects coming online in the next couple of months.

Amongst providing 2nd level support to our government client, the purpose of this role is to design and build solutions that provide a real and positive impact to the business. To do this you will be working with our team of Developers and Testers in addition to Product Owners, SMEs and the wider business, technology, and project teams.
 
As part of this you will need to provide clarity and simplicity to often complex situations. You will need to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and must be able to quickly identify and resolve any potential issues.
 

 
To join our team, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and abilities: 
 

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of applications support and development
  • Demonstrated negotiation, mediation, workshop facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in identifying and documenting business requirements in conjunction with business stakeholders
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing detailed solution design specifications in conjunction with business and IT teams, liaising across both teams to ensure that the specifications can be delivered and will meet the requirements of the business
  • A disciplined approach to time management, planning, implementation and project execution.
  • Business acumen and industry knowledge with a strong understanding of business processes and products
  • Knowledge of end-to-end enterprise system integration solutions
  • Knowledge of the system development lifecycle, ITIL and Agile development practices
  • Experience within the Insurance industry would be ideal
  • Experience with the Guidewire ClaimCenter application would be a strong preference
  • Experience with the Atlassian software development collaboration tools is an advantage (JIRA, Confluence).
