Working within this large and diverse organization, the Project Manager will be crucial to the successful implementation of a new migration project being undertaken over a 4 month period. The aim of the role is to provide consistent structure and governance to the Project, work closely with the selected vendor, gain a clear understanding of the organisation needs and the benefits it wishes to establish and ensure that the project is delivered on time, in scope and within budget.

The environment is both dynamic and complex and you’ll enjoy being part of a technology group going through significant transformation and change as they move away from traditional delivery models and utilize cloud technology. This role will focus specifically on the migration of a procurement system.

We’re seeking a PM who will be the first point of contact for all project stakeholders, internal and external, successfully managing all project tasks. The role will be 2 full days per week, based onsite and will last for approximately 4 months.
 
The key functions of the role include:
  • Ensure that the key deliverables of the project are adhered to
  • Construct project plans including scope and timeline for implementation of agreed solutions
  • Identify and obtain suitable project resources by negotiation with the business
  • Communicate expectations and progress to the project team members and other stakeholders
  • Develop a stakeholder engagement plan which clearly outlines roles responsibilities and information requirements.
  • Project planning and report writing
  • To ensure that on project closure all aspects of the project are handed over to relevant operational teams and groups, including documented processes and procedures
 What you’ll need to bring to the role:
  • Previous experience working as a Project Manager in the software applications space
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Finance experience would be advantageous
  • Solution focused with a personal commitment to quality and delivery
  • Takes professional, organised and disciplined approach
  • Demonstrates high-level of flexibility and responsiveness
