WHAT IS THIS OPPORTUNITY ALL ABOUT?

As Development Tech Lead - Front End you will be the front end expert to lead our efforts in improving the architecture and front end experience of the ezyVet application and platform.  This role is about figuring out best practice from a front end perspective, implementing the technical foundations and then providing guidance to our powerful team of nearly thirty developers. This role is a purely technical position so your number one priority will be to build beautiful code.

You need to be someone super experienced who has the vision and answers for other developers to look up to and be challenged and excited about what is possible.  This role and mission will be no mean feat so you will need plenty of gas in the tank and a great toolbox of ideas and tricks to get the outcomes the platform will need in the future to be successful.

WHAT YOUR TYPICAL DAY WOULD LOOK LIKE?

- Arrive at the office, grab yourself a coffee with a few fellow developers, and sling a bit of banter around

- Review the awesome project plan you put together to achieve an EPIC front end framework

- Code your heart out; design perfectly structured framework objects, build beautiful code, refactor and repeat

- Mid way through the day, give your mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse a chance to cool down and pop upstairs for a catered lunch from our A-Mazing cook Jen! (vegan options available)

- Jump into GitLab and review fellow coder's code, merge if it's suitably beautiful, or pop over to their desk and spend time with them rebuilding it so it is suitably beautiful

- Once you're done for the day; throw down (careful now) a challenge over ping pong, Super Smash Bros, Tekken or any alternative

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (THE BORING BITS):

• At least 6 years front end experience
• Proven person of action & delivery focused
• Results orientated
• Experience with Angular JS | React JS | Bootstrap | Vue.Js
• Know your way around Webpack
• Working knowledge of modern cross-browser HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS3
• Experience with relevant tech (React.js, Web Components, Web Sockets, Polymer, etc.)
• Experience with unit testing (mocha, jest, jasmine, etc.)
• Strong OO design patterns, modular design
• Strong attention to detail with relentless follow up
