Background
Our client belongs to a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and preserving New Zealand's natural environment. This Senior .Net Developer role calls for an experienced candidate to join the organisation's ITS team in Wellington. 

The Role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the ongoing BAU web development activities on organisations main business systems, and assisting with maintaining the operational integrity and enhancements over time. You will also handle project work relating to the implementation of new core IT systems and the upgrading of existing systems. Your expertise coding in C# within .Net frameworks working to Agile methodologies is essential.

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have the skills and experience to handle the following:

Web Development:

• Create unit tests using C#.
• Create executable code using C#, ASP.NET (WebForms and/or MVC), and JavaScript.
• Code review on a periodic basis.
• Create and review SQL scripts.
• Upgrade and test web application software.

Data Analysis and Support:

• Investigate and resolve any faults including code changes and running scripts.
• Analyse system issues and prepare documentation.
• Identify issues of data quality and integrity, developing management processes as required.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and updating of IT system rules and variables.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Agile.
• Experience documentation for software releases.
• Data management experience.
• Experience in delivery of effective reporting.
• An understanding of software release principles.
• Advanced SQL Script writing skills.
