The position of Senior Field Services Engineer will join a well-established team of skilled technical professionals who provide a range of engineering services to Lexel clients.
  
The role involves providing onsite technical services and support to Lexel customers, as well as proactive system management within the Lexel Systems operational framework.
  
Core responsibilities will include:
  • Design and implementation of various infrastructure projects for Lexel Systems customers
  • Respond to service calls on client sites based in Auckland as required to resolve technical faults
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the Lexel products, services and solutions
  • Assume full ownership and responsibility for all allocated tickets, ensuring they are dealt with promptly, professionally and satisfactorily to conclusion
  • Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance for Lexel customers as/when required 
  • Ensure services provided are delivered to customers in a professional manner to meet/exceed SLAs and client expectations
  • Mentor, support and guide more junior team members
  • Actively seek out business opportunities with customers and inform relevant Lexel personnel to develop further business for the company as a whole
  • Assist the Lexel sales team with pre-sales opportunities to scope, cost and provide input to Statements of Work
Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a client facing systems engineering role supporting enterprise level customers
  • Advanced Microsoft Operating Systems knowledge, including desktop and server
  • Technical expertise in:
    • Microsoft user and server applications including Office, Exchange and SharePoint
    • Microsoft Server core technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, File Services, DFS, Print Management, WDS and WSUS
    • Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell and Batch
    • Core network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP and DNS
    • Cloud technologies including MS Office 365, MS Azure and AWS
    • Virtual server technologies such as VMware and MS HyperV
    • User workspace delivery technologies such as Citrix, VDI and RDS
    • Remote Management and Monitoring software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong personal organisation and time management skills
  • A proven ability to present complex technical information in a manner that can be understood by different audiences
  • An ability to build constructive working relationships with others
  • A positive, proactive and Customer-centric attitude and approach
