Are you looking for a new and exciting Oracle Database Administrator role that will challenge you and bring you into a new world? Then my client a big name in the finance space is the place for you!
 
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to be responsible for the performance, integrity, security and availability of the operational databases. 

What will you do?
  
You will be involved in the planning and development of the databases and database related infrastructure, as well as maintenance and resolution of any issues on behalf of the projects as well as end users.

• Provide a high quality, professional and responsive support service to customers whether internal or external 
• Log, troubleshoot and resolve support requests, working with third-party suppliers as appropriate
• Maintain a centralised knowledge base of standards and procedures for the DBA team and interested parties
• Experience with the design and support of latest versions of Oracle 11/12
• Oracle DBA experience
• Monitor database performance, identify opportunities for improvement and manage the implementation of any solutions via established processes to provide fast responses to front end users and utilise system resources effectively
• Optimisation and performance tuning
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
• Be able to communicate at all levels
