What you'll be doing
Take accountability in driving quality assurance and innovation through top of the line automated testing techniques and tools. You'll also be responsible for reviewing and contributing to technical designs, creating and developing a test plan, implementation and execution of automated tests, frameworks and managing related assets.
Main activities:
- Be involved in daily stand-ups and requirement walkthroughs
- Lead, mentor and coach other Software Engineers in Test to provide quality assurance of system implementations by testing and verification (The other Testers are not Software Engineers in Test they are QBA's)
- Implement and develop automated testing practices
- Conducts analysis from solution document and complete requirements traceability matrix
- Design and create test scripts using JavaScript and /or Python (VBScript)
- Contribute to the building of a Continuous Integration (CI) environment
- Identify required improvements in the test and development processes
Key skills:
- At least 5 years of proven experience developing automated test systems using Test Complete (VBScript or Java Script) for both web and windows applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately to different levels of the Bravura organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex automated test solutions to budget, time and quality.
- A firm understanding of risk-based and high value testing
- Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Passion for improving code quality through interaction with development team.
- Understands and utilises relevant SDLC methodologies, especially Agile development practices
- UI object recognition and customisation in test tools
- Web & API Testing tools like Selenium & SoapUI
- Programming languages like VB Script & Groovy and object-oriented programming.
