About the role
The DevOps Engineer will be monitoring and managing a critical internet application along with incident handling and detailed debugging of Java EE applications including multiple front and backend systems (Apache, WebSphere, JBOSS, DB2, MySQL etc.). You will be able to support development and testing as required. This is a busy proactive role within a well know organisation.
Skills & experience required
- Experienced Linux DevOps Engineer
- Proficient with Linux KnowHow with experience with Java EE Applications (WebSphere, JBoss etc.)
- Basic database skills using DB2 and MySQL with experience in at least one scripting language and networking skills (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, DNS, load balancing etc.)
- Installation and configuration of operating systems, middleware and application software components
- Development of operation, monitoring and automation tools (puppet, chef, nagios/icinga, graphite etc.)
- Strong communication skills
