We're looking for an experienced and disciplined Software Test Analyst, ideally with marine electronics experience and a high standard in testing and documentation, with limited supervision.
Navico develops, manufactures, markets and exports hi-tech marine electronics under a number of leading brands. We lead the market in marine electronics with outstanding solutions for performance, safety and enjoyment on the water.
We have exciting next generation products currently in development and we are looking for an experienced Test Analyst to make a huge contribution to their success.
Responsibilities
- Creating and reviewing test cases
- Creating, reviewing and executing test plans
- Maintaining and reporting test status to the project team
- Developing automated testing scripts
- Contributing to the continual improvement of quality assurance and testing procedures
- Working with the software development team to improve quality assurance across the whole software development lifecycle
Minimum requirements:
- Tertiary degree, preferably Electronics, Computer Science, or similar, or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge in the field
- 2+ years software testing experience or relevant experience in the marine industry
- Experience in the ideas and practical application of SDLC/PDLC
- Experience with JIRA, TestLink and similar issue tracking and work flow tools
- You must at least have an appropriate NZ Work Visa allowing you to start work immediately
Preferred Skills
- Design, documentation and ongoing change management of test plans and strategies
- Experience with Automated Testing, particular with Gherkin
- Knowledge and experience of working with Marine Electronics
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certificate in software testing
