What would I be doing?
The role will be responsible for defining, designing and developing the relevant software solutions to various Motor Control projects. You'll be programming microcontrollers, designing controls at both the motor control and application levels, researching new sensorless control approaches and adapting and tuning for new motor and customer application requirements.

You will need to be technically advanced in motor control software solutions preferably including sensorless approaches, be experienced in developing motor control algorithms and developing drive software systems. You will need to be comfortable being hands on, rolling up your sleeves, getting involved in performance testing and experiment design.

Additionally you'll be creating, building on and refining their development tools and methods and collaborating with external customers gaining a deep understanding of current and future requirements for controls.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Minimum 5 years of advanced embedded electronics motor controls software product development experience in consumer or industrial applications
  • Experience with BLDC motor controls and Sensorless Vector controls
  • Experience in developing advanced motor control algorithms
  • Experience with developing Servo drive software systems
  • Performance testing and experiment design experience
  • Proficient in Embedded C, Linux and QT
  • Experience with LabView, LabEquip and Rapid prototyping an advantage
  • BE (Electrical) or equivalent technically-based degree qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship building skills
