Our client is delivering smart asset management solutions to the New Zealand construction industry. The business is New Zealand owned and operated and is a licensee of EquipmentShare.com Inc who builds world-leading technology-focused solutions for a variety of industries. 
  
They have recently secured seed funding to take scale their business and they are looking for a Senior BA/Solution Developer who can understand their strategy and translate that into solutions. In the short to medium term, this will include a lot of prototyping, looking to take a number of  MVPs to test in the market and using the knowledge garnered to articulate their technology strategy. They need someone who can actively participate and provide value in this process... ideally with a very broad BA background.
  
  
The business started out with the Directors purchasing a number of pieces of heavy machinery that they could then rent out to contractors, almost like an Airbnb for diggers and construction equipment. When they implemented a telematics package to track and monitor their equipment, the team realised the power of the data that those systems collected and how, through work with a variety of partners, they could create a whole ecosystem that includes the Z energy mini tankers that fill up the plant with gas, to partnering with maintenance business services.


You will participate in SDLC activities including:
• Business process identification, analysis, design and ongoing refinement
• Software evaluation, configuration, development, integration and review
• All aspects of software application testing

2. What you will bring

Technical Skills
  • Well-developed knowledge of how to review, analyse and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements using relevant models, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Well-developed knowledge of a variety of computer programming languages and software applications.
  • Clear understanding of SDLC activities and processes with practical experience in core activities (software development and testing).
  • Broad exposure to industry standard SDLC methodologies
  • Able to identify gaps between where we are and where we need to be
  • General industry knowledge of IT and of relevant latest technology trends
  • Appropriate financial management knowledge gained in a systems environment
