Our GIS Team is leading the way when it comes to innovation, digitalisation and creativity! We are utilising GIS Technology with real-time data to create live mapping of public transport against timetables and schedules to provide better services to Auckland City!

We have a phenomenal opportunity for a zealous GIS Team Lead to come lead, grow and nurture our GIS Team, focused of lifting the internal capabilities and development of the team as well as driving project delivery.

You will be the ambassador for GIS across AT, promoting the service delivery of the team as well as managing resources effectively, including allocating the team to projects and pieces of work as needed.

First and foremost, you consider yourself a people leader. You are confident in your leadership attributes, as well as ranking proactivity and adaptability as key strengthens. You will champion and bring innovative solutions as to how the GIS team provide solutions to the business, stretching the team to new heights!

The GIS team works across cross-functional teams and stakeholders can vary greatly, hence it is critical that the team's contribution is optimal. As our GIS Team Lead, you will be an expert communicator with first-class communication and relationship building skills, able to easily coach, mentor and lead your team on how to establish effective working relationships across the business.

In addition, you will ideally have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Geography, Geographic Information systems or Spatial Science
• Preferably 7 or more years' experience as a GIS Analyst/Professional
• Substantial experience using ESRI ArcGIS
• Significant prior leadership experience
• Experience creating quality cartographic mapping, spatial and visual data analysis, capture, presentation and editing
