We have an exciting opportunity for a progressive thought leader to join the fast growing Enterprise Business Integration unit. This business is focussed helping organisations articulate strategic business needs, and formulating and implementing business and technical integration initiatives spanning people, process, technology and data. For the SAP Digital Innovation consultant the specific focus is on leveraging and expanding organisations’ investments in SAP through innovative application of a new range of capabilities including design thinking with Leonardo (IoT, Machine Learning & AI, Big Data, Blockchain, Analytics, IoT etc.), SAP Cloud Platform (Digital Experience, Integration, Automation), Hana, Fiori, web, mobile etc.
 
The Principal Consultant role is responsible for the creation of well-defined value propositions, and the strategy, growth, profitability, sustainability and delivery of these propositions. There is a lot of latitude to shape and innovate around these propositions in response to evolving market and customer needs and this encourages and suits an entrepreneurial spirit.
Although the responsibilities are wide and varied, they can be grouped in to three main areas.
 
Consulting
  • Consult with clients on enterprise architecture and technology strategy, with a strong focus on the SAP Intelligent Enterprise. Produce strategy and roadmaps. The scope of consulting is across people, process, technology and data.
  • Assist clients in articulating business drivers, and quantifying the business value of initiatives.
  • Assist clients in constructing business cases.
  • Advise and influence C-level management.
  • Create the strategic context to enable portfolio, programme and project planning for subsequent business and technology delivery.
 
Leadership
  • Play a key role during presales activities, proposals, estimates, planning and presentations.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise across developments in business transformation, innovation, system design, and delivery approaches (e.g. devops, agile, continuous delivery), as well as the SAP product set.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge across key technologies and architecture approaches. Become the go-to person for setting up or solving problems with these.
  • Play a key role in technology partner relationships, and maintain the appropriate levels of certification and competence.
  • Provide expertise, guidance and leadership to technical resources and teams.
  • Participate in, and make contributions to industry events such as meet-ups and conferences.
  • Act as solution lead across integration focussed projects and programmes, and own the Value Realisation concern.
 
Propositions and services
  • Research, design and help to implement new, innovative value propositions and services
  • Own, commercially grow, and evolve value propositions and go to market initiatives.
The Enterprise Business Integration unit works closely with the adjacent Enterprise Integration Solutions unit. While the latter is focussed on technical implementation, the former is focussed on Consulting. These businesses are a part of Datacom’s Enterprise Transformation group.
