My client is embarking on a complete refresh of their software applications and systems and requires an additional software developer to join the team.
The immediate 12 month fixed term (on salary) opportunity is for a full stack JavaScript developer to work with React/Redux on the front-end and Express on the back-end.
The ideal candidate should have really solid coding skills, with a minimum three years of demonstrable commercial experience in designing and building high traffic web applications of significant complexity. Alternatively, we will consider contributions to popular Open Source projects (200+ stars on Github).
It would also be ideal if you can cover off:
- API documentation in Swagger.
- Linux system administration and basic cloud ops.
- Exposure to the AWS stack (EC2, S3, RDS, CodeDeploy).
- Experience in serverless computing.
- Exposure to PHP (specifically Symfony2 framework).
- Solr and ElasticSearch.
Most important is the willingness to learn and pick up the technologies required to get the job done. This is a fairly complex system requiring integration with technologies like ElasticSearch.
