An established, well resourced and fast growing company is looking to expand it's current A.I. team with experts in data mining/machine learning. Developing an exciting, A.I. driven product with users around the world, the company is needing to expand its resource to meet client demand and move into new areas of research.
We are looking for enthusiastic and bright engineers and researchers who are familiar with and want to use cutting edge technologies and techniques in the A.I. field. The company's research areas include data (text) mining, machine learning, natural language processing & image processing.
Relevant academic qualifications are not pre-requirements but considered highly important unless applicants have extensive experience in the field. Strong programming ability and experience is a key requirement, knowledge on relevant coding (especially Python) is a big advantage however we are open to those who have experience in other languages.
Candidates should have the ability to understand and work with the "bigger picture" in mind at all times. This includes understanding how the technology they develop will be used in the real world and how to build effectively under that premise.
Responsibilities:
- Research and design algorithms in multiple areas including NLP & image processing
- Writing clean software to realise these algorithms
- Implementing mechanisms for testing and evaluation
- Writing documentation as necessary
- Working collaboratively and effectively with the other team members for best time management and results
Required Skills:
- Postgraduate degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
- 3+ years experience working in Machine Learning (ideally text or image applications) along with an interest and experience with Natural Language Processing
- Problem solving skills and systematic approach to tackle complex problems
- Excellent programming skills, preferably in Python
- Some understanding of SQL language and interaction with other database systems
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
