Based in wellington, we are now actively recruiting an ICT Support Technician. The ICT Support Technician is responsible for providing 1st, 2nd level IT service a number of internal users and is covering a number of our client construction offices around Wellington

This role would suit somebody with a strong customer service background and a good understanding of computer systems. 

 

Your duties will include:

 

  • Configuration of servers, workstations, tablets, routers, mobile devices and other equipment.
  • Fault-finding and assisting customers with day-to-day IT issues
  •  PC, Server, and Laptop and smartphone diagnostics, both hardware & software
  • New Computer and Network installations including data cables.
  • Escalating queries and supporting the ICT Team as required
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving ICT issues to the best of your ability
  • Customer orientation; ability to deal promptly with customer queries and requests and take responsibility for meeting customer needs within the agreed time-scale
  • Providing day to day support to end users
  • Ability to coordinate external field support staff effectively
  • Following up with the clients on daily basis. 
  • Respond to computer related service calls and emails.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Customer orientation; ability to deal promptly with customer queries and requests and take responsibility for meeting customer needs within the agreed time-scale
  • Proven self-starter who can work without supervision
  • Proactive and productive.

Skills and experience:

An understanding of LAN/ WAN network servers and Database environments Strong Windows Desktop/Server experience.

Tertiary qualification in IT or computing is essential.

A full clean driver's license if required, travel and work will be required to be carried out on client premises.
