The Role:
A contract term of initially 6 months is on offer and the role can be based in either Christchurch or Wellington. New projects are awaiting your attention and ideally you will be a professional Software Developer who is used to picking up a requirement and run with it, managing the project from end to end.
As an experienced Senior Developer your input will be essential to the on-going delivery of continuous Integration services and deployment automation. You'll design, develop and configure enterprise core systems and solutions.
What you will need:
As a Senior Developer, you have gained your Application Programming Interface experience within a technical and complex environment. You're used to working with patterns and practices and have a comprehensive understanding of object-oriented principles. We need a specific skill set of .net or Java experience of Integration work involving APIs and SOA services. It would also be good to have Scrum/Agile experience. You will also bring to the position:
- Extensive experience in Java EE development environments
- Experience with Spring Framework, JSF, JPA, JTA, Hibernate, JavaBeans, JBoss
- A solid understanding of OO programming, design patterns and development methodologies
- Competence in Microsoft SQL Server and stored procedures
- The desire to be trained in Mule and other new integration tools
- Relational database design and development
- Multi-tier architectures including MVC
- Ability to write defensive robust code
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good time management skills
- Ideally you will have Sun JAVA Certification.
