Our client lives and breathes CURRENCIES, providing a range of currency services and products (Currency Converter, market Analysis, Currency Data API) to name a few.  This organisation is part of a NASDAQ listed global group ... Their online foreign exchange tools and services receive more than 55 million installs; their money transfer services have booked billions of dollars in international payments and additionally, their currency data service is used by thousands of corporate clients ( SMEs and Fortune 500 companies ).

A Support Engineer has become available due to an internal promotion.  Come and see what everyone is talking about, as they continue their role as leaders and innovators in the foreign exchange industry.

Primary focus will be on supporting their service delivery teams and to manage and support the end user environment., whilst also working with the wider technology teams to plan and improve systems throughout the technology estate.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE required;

  • 3+ years in a technical role dealing with end users
  • Scripting - must of used Powershell
  • Conducting / overseeing root cause fault analysis and problem management within a multi skilled IT Department
  • Understands the importance of team responsibilities in a high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery environment

Work experience and strong understanding of the following;

  • Systems deployment (PDQDeploy, GPO, scripting, etc)
  • Scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python, etc)
  • Windows technologies (AD, OS, O365)
  • Servers (Windows 2008/2012)
  • Monitoring (Icinga, Graylog, Graphana, Cloudwatch, etc)
  • Application support (MS Office, CRM, in-house, finance services software)

NOTE:  To be selected for a potential interview, you will be confident explaining your experience on the information above AND also available on-call, approx. 2 weeks in every 8 weeks.  On-call allowance provided.
Your day with start at either 7:30AM or 8:00AM, working a 40 hour week.  
We will be vetting candidates this week that hold Residency and interviewing next week with the client.
