This cloud-based product development company is on the cusp of major expansion across NZ, Australia and SE Asia. Their technology platform is now being used by some of the biggest brands in financial services, local Government and many other industries. It’s pretty simple – they want to build a business filled with talented, passionate people who love tech and want to make a difference.
As part of their growth, these guys are undergoing a major tech rebuild which, includes a redesign of their UI. So now we're on the hunt for an awesome Front-end Developer to help them on their journey of becoming one of the fastest growing software companies in NZ!
They're not after "oodles" of experience, but someone who can be responsible for rolling-out, maintaining, improving and enforcing their style guide and associated components and layout pages. You'll work with their product team to translate design wireframes to code and assist in the transition of their platform to a new, standardised front-end based off their existing style guide.
One thing I must say about this company is that they have an awesome culture, with lots of support and learning but more importantly they have fun while they do it!
Your core tech stack will look something like this:
- PHP and at least one other language;
- Javascript (intermediate - advanced) and jQuery;
- Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5 and CSS3;
- Server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and Sass;
- Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX;
- Browser testing and debugging;
- Converting business requirements and wireframes to code;
- Linux/Ubuntu;
- Content management;
- Responsive UI;
- Source control techniques and applications.
Any of this stuff chucked in the mix would be ideal:
- Docker;
- Go, Python, Perl;
- Symfony PHP Framework;
- DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery;
- Cross-browser development techniques (advanced);
- Event driven architecture;
- Micro services.
