About the Role
We are looking for an IT Support to assist the ICT Manager and the network carrying out support ranging from remedial tasks to engineering, research and implementation. The position is full time, five days a week, with rostered on-call after hours.
Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Supporting YMCA staff with the use of ICT infrastructure including provision of training
- Assisting ICT services to perform consistently and functionally
- Showing an ability to adequately trouble shoot ICT problems, take the correct course of action to resolve the problem and communicate the issues in a non-technical manner to staff
- Solving ICT related issues quickly and competently
- Attending to ICT issues after hours where necessary
You will have the following skills and experience:
- General knowledge of ICT systems
- Good working knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
- Intermediate level understanding of networks and network devices
- Strong ability and familiarity with software packages e.g. Microsoft Office, Client server apps
- Ability to communicate high level technical issues in a fashion easily understandable to all
- Able to manage own time and responsibilities
- Ability to use initiative and work autonomously
- Good training skills; ability to train end users in IT
- Drivers Licence
