Affco New Zealand Limited is one of New Zealand's largest meat processing companies serving both domestic and export markets with operating plants throughout New Zealand.
A vacancy exits within the company for a Developer with proven commercial programming experience to support and develop our primary manufacturing and processing systems currently written in Java, PHP, Progress OpenEdge and .Net.
The role will be primarily focused on supporting the current applications and to be part of the team to transition these to a modern .Net environment.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced .Net developer.
Experience in manufacturing and processing systems will be highly regarded.
The candidate will also possess a high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, be a good problem solver and able to work well under pressure.
Some knowledge of Label Design and Printing Software, Barcoding, RF technologies and hardware (Harsh Environment Computers, scanners and printers) is desirable but not essential.
The position will be based at Affco Head Office, Horotiu, working with an experienced development team.
Some travel may be required from time to time to our production sites throughout the country.
