What’s the work like?
The role of Systems Administrator plays a critical role in the organisation, providing daily technical support across a suite of applications, an SAP system, web based procurement system, desktop and laptop computers, printers and mobile phones. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Engineering, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and systems support for all IT products and services
- Maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
- Maintenance of end user deployed vendor managed inventory system
- Create and design new reporting options using all available systems
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and verifying completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups
- Maintain and update business continuity plans in the event of any systemic IT failure
- Set up and configure, maintain and troubleshoot staff desktop and laptops
- Sales administration and business support functions as and when required
- Assist with digital assets such as company website and social media profiles
We’re seeking a tech savvy ‘all-rounder’ who is comfortable working in an autonomous role and balancing multiple tasks across a broad spectrum of responsibilities. You’ll match all or most of the following criteria:
- Be a problem solver and prepared to think outside the box to achieve a solution
- Have a flexible approach to align outputs to meet the business objectives
- Have a strong understanding of technical systems to assist in maintenance of current systems, hardware and software, i.e. SAP, GIS infrastructure applications, online inventory system, company website/webstore and computer networks
- Have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Products
- Proven track record of IT systems set up, configuration and maintenance. If you’ve worked in a business to consumer, particularly retail environment, this would be viewed favourably
