• Lead and influence application architecture of a market leading FS software
• Implement modern technology patterns, in particular cloud-based architectures
• A globally distributed team providing world-class solutions to top-tier clients

Main Activities 

• Collaboration with senior technology peers in elaborating the architecture roadmap, including code level analysis of technical debts and opportunities
• Design and development of architecture enhancement to the Sonata application, in particular, as relates to application APIs, modularisation, deployment and elasticity
• Performance optimisation and troubleshooting
• Security configurations and validations
• Supporting team members in their tasks in a diverse cross-functional team
• Assisting the build and deployment teams in packaging and releasing software to customers
• Assist in pre-sales technical consulting sessions and detailed scoping workshops

Skills & experience

• Significant experience in a customer facing environment with the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and other technologists
• Your pedigree is that of a full stack Senior Java Technologist/Solution Architect
• Experienced in DevOps and continuous deployment methodologies
• Expert in modern web services APIs, AWS and ideally with exposure to big data steam technology such as Kafka.
• Experience with public cloud technologies at an infrastructure and platform level.
• Experienced with security architectures for single sign on, encryption etc.
• Experience with relational databases and other non-relational data stores.
• Experience in test driven development and domain driven design
• Ideally some experience in IT infrastructure and networking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distinguish between your business and technical audiences
• Strong history of technical research with an ability to work in an undefined problem space
• A self-managing style with a positive attitude
