Detail information about job Project Manager – Store Inventory Management . Terms and conditions vacancy
- Unique and exciting opportunity where you can make a difference
- Help step-change our approach across our nationwide business.
This is a unique and exciting role, where you can truly make a difference within one of New Zealand’s fast growing, iconic “Kiwi” companies.
Sustained growth over the years has seen Mitre 10 surpass the $1.4 billion group sales mark – and we continue to grow. With that growth comes the need to do things differently.
As part of that, we are looking to transform our supply chain in a comprehensive program of change. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with a cutting-edge project which will transform inventory management throughout the store network. This is where you come in. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will work closely with our Executive Program Manager – Supply Chain to deliver on the Store Procurement and Inventory Management Project, which is part of our wider transformation program.
This 12 month fixed term role needs someone who can take the project lead on delivering new inventory processes and the tools needed to support them. As well as being an excellent project manager, ideally you will be someone who understands the whole inventory management space within a fast trading environment. Linked with this, you will be experienced in addressing the significant change management aspect as we move the business from current state to leading practice.
You will sit across both the business and IT aspects of the project, and ideally have a good understanding of mobility solutions. You are comfortable working with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
As a key member of this continued wave of improvement, you will also have demonstrated project management experience delivering a significant business change project - relevant project management certification would be advantageous, as would experience within another large retail business. Also important in this role will be your detail orientation, analytical skills, strong MS Excel skills, excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written), and excellent organisational and planning skills, along with your team orientation and ability to engage with various stakeholders.
